Our research focuses on the neural and cognitive mechanisms of attention and working memory in healthy young adults and dysfunction of cognition and emotion in schizophrenia and other disorders. We also work to develop and promote ERP methods, including a yearly 10-day NIH-funded summer workshop (the ERP Boot Camp) and an open-source Matlab toolbox (ERPLAB Toolbox).
Visual working memory provides a key interface between perceptual processes and higher-level cognitive processes.
Our research seeks to define and understand the many mechanisms of attention, both at the cognitive and neural levels.
Our research aims to understand the specific cognitive and neural functions that are impaired in schizophrenia and other disorders.
We collaborate with a variety of top scientists at UC Davis and beyond.
