Programming skills are incredibly valuable if you pursue a career in science or technology. A good way to improve your programming skills is to work on refining our existing code. For example, when we publish a paper, we typically make the stimulus presentation and data analysis scripts available online for other researchers to use, and you could help us improve the code prior to releasing it. We also produce ERPLAB Toolbox, an open source ERP analysis package, and you could help us test and improve the code. After gaining enough such experience, you could also start writing code for new features or tools.
